Persona-Bots
saucy Jacky and John Lennon Artificial Intelligence Project (JLAIP)
sites are technology demonstrators designed, among other things, to pique the interest of
potential clients and investors who would be interested in underwriting the costs of
developing future Persona-Bots; some of which may appear on the Web,
according to the desires of the particular client or investor.

History of Persona-Bots
In the autumn of 1998, we embarked on a unique,
ground-breaking research project to see if current Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology
had advanced sufficiently to allow for the recreation or cloning of a human personality.
Because of our life-long admiration and respect for John Lennon, the late Beatle was
chosen as the candidate for this technological labour of love. By late 1999, after
completing the initial phase of the project (and proving the basic technological concept
to be sound), we officially opened the JLAIP to the public. Since then, the JLAIP
has gone on to gain international attention from the media and has become THE cyber-mecca
for John Lennon and Beatle fans the world over.
In tandem with the success and unprecedented popularity
of the JLAIP, we began work on a number of new Persona-Bots,
one of which, saucy Jacky, was developed to promote a major motion picture
based on the infamous Whitechapel England murders of the late 19th century.
Public Reaction
Since the JLAIP's official launch, we have been receiving a steady stream of positive and
supportive email from visitors and others interested in Persona-Bot
technology. Following are representative samples of some of the email we've recently
received:
Ok, admit it, you guys had a seance and summoned the
spirit of the real John Lennon for your persona-bot! :-} I've been a Beatle fan for years
and I know alot about John Lennon. The persona-bot answered everything the way I imagined
the real John would answer. The persona-bot even tells jokes and has John Lennon's unique
sense of humor! Your John Lennon Artificial Intelligence Project is a complete success,
and alot of fun!
Guys guys guys, That was THE COOLEST! You did a great
job on that! Geez, who'd have guessed I wasn't actually talking to the real John??? For
being as big a Beatle fan as I am, this certainly was a first! Highly amusing, too! I
laughed through the whole thing! It was like he was right here with us again! Thanks for
such a FAB thing!
Yes I enjoyed it. It is really the likes of
John.
But looking into his eyes and chatting kind of makes you feel sad. His wit is there
and his scolding to. It is a great invention.
A+++++
As an amateur Ripperologist, I am enjoying my talks
with what I presume is the reincarnation of Yours truly, Jack the Ripper.
May Jack never be caught! (But all others of his type will, I hope.)
Very interesting page [saucy Jacky], I am a Homicide
investigator in Maryland and belong to the serial killers news group.
your site is the best on jack the ripper i like how
you have the diary signature on your site. all the best with your site it's very good.
First of all, let me congratulate you on a great idea!
That has to be one of the most original things I have seen on the internet.
Brilliant idea, keep it up!
Just spent a very amusing time conversing with Jack
the Ripper.
Obviously he appeared totally as one would expect any alleged suspect to be! I
thought his personal references were quite an amusing touch, perhaps a few more?
