20. Manchester with Rory. Met Donna and Toni. Like Toni a lot.

21. Aintree Institute. No drums, had to use snare. Played ok, Beatles and Faron were on.

22. Lowlands, played good, nearly trouble there.

23. Manchester. Saw 'Ben Hur', fabulous. With Toni. Got 10.30 train back.

24. Civil Service cancelled. Eileen came, stayed in, went to station. Met George of Beatles on way back to bus.

25. Aintree, played okay, never went down well.

26. Litherland Town Hall, played ok. With some girl to Aintree. Got soaked, got bus to town, then got taxi home.

27. (Fri) Jive Hive, Wally flu. Zodiacs played, not bad. Eileen there, never spoke. Ringo, Mal and I went to R. Theatre. Lunchtime session.

28. Aintree. Bought jeans at Erics, 18/-. Ed ran us to Lathom Hall, played good, then to Aintree, played great. Big fight. A fellow jumped on stage, everyone throwing chairs, had to close curtains. Went with Eileen to bus stop. I love her.

29. Went to see Adam Faith in 'Beat Girl.' Lousy.

30. Went to Manchester with Rory. Rory had air-bag stolen with our photos etc. Finished with Toni, cheesed off, had no money.

31. Civil, played good. Ringo and I went to the Jac, caught last bus home.

February
1. Went to lunchtime session, then to Rialto to try photos. Pat took us to Jive Hive in car.

2. Sampson and Barlow's, cancelled.

3. Rocket, first night, played good. Went to Bootle station with Eileen. I got soaked.

4. Jive Hive, played good. Eileen was there, never spoke. Took Babs for a drink.

5. Lowlands, phoned Eileen to get records, had row with Charley over Fender.

6. Rory and I went to Orrell to see Bobby Bell Rockers. Finished with Eileen.

7. (Tues) Rory, Bob Wooler and I went to Southport to see Gene Vincent, great but Echoes not much. Met Gene and boys backstage, got photos taken.

8. Hambleton Hall. Played great, girls went mad, one gave me compact.

9. La Mystery, Maghull. No good. Then to Sampson and Barlow's, only did 4 numbers but Sam paid us £6.

10. Mossway. We were 45 minutes early, played good. Big fight there.

11. Played Lathom Hall first, then to Aintree, someone threw a chair at me. Frank Knight's party. went with Jeanette, nice.

12. Cliff and Shadows, went to 1st and 2nd houses, very good. Then to Cavern and saw Beatles.

13. Bodega, cancelled. Went to Toni's, then Bodega, sec, fixed things up. Toni wants to get engaged. I like her an awful lot.

14. Sampson and Barlow's, played good, then went to Jac. Vic and Bob Wooler ran us home. Got five Valentines.
