The Bluejeans, firmly established as one of the leading groups in the
country, regularly receive a great deal of television promotion.
We went along to see the boys perform their current hit at the Ready,
Steady, Go! studios and discovered that they really put a lot of hard work
into their rehearsal.
Arriving in the early afternoon, the Bluejeans spent several hours in the
studios before the programme was screened live - and the show went on the
air without a hitch.
However, the boys weren't too happy about miming: "We'd sooner
perform live - we really hate miming," said RALPH ELLIS,
"however, I believe that Ready, Steady, Go! are planning to scrap the
idea of artists miming to their discs."
Ralph, incidentally, will be writing an article on this topic in a future
issue of Mersey Beat.
