Terrorism, like any manifestation of
man's inhumanity to man, is an atrocity of the highest degree.
Unfortunately, all over the world at any given time atrocities are being
perpetrated against people. It has been that way for a long time, and it
is wrong. Terribly wrong.
The problem has not been caused by a few
fanatical newcomers who decided to blow up the World Trade Center. Our
own government is not without blood on their hands. But we're supposed
to be the "offended" party, so we can't take responsibility
for the part we've played on the world stage of terror. As America, we
shove whatever heinous crimes we've committed under the carpet, in
deference to money, oil, land or power.
The U.S. and allies argue that Osama bin
Laden and his cronies are the evildoers and they, of course, believe
that we are the evil ones, so they declare Jihad. The Palestinians
believe the Jews have no right to Israel. But then, where are the Native
Americans who originally lived throughout North America? Did it feel
like terrorism to them when the white man killed their women and
children, occupied their lands and forced them into reservations?
Everyone is guilty! When will people see
that the real culprit is an insane notion that is etched even into the
words of our National Anthem, "God Bless America." We are
teetering on the edge of extinction, and we still believe that God will bless
America and damn our rivals! How absurd. The "enemy", of
course, believes God is with them and that we are the evil
ones.
Do you smell the stench? Are at least a
few people aware of the truth that God doesn't take sides?
The real culprit is religion. It has
nothing to do with God. As Gandhi said, "God doesn't have a
religion." God just IS. Religion is man's belief about
God, but it doesn't change the nature of God ... whatever that is.
